DIVINE CONCERN is a diaconal Music Project of Deacon Dr. Meins G.S. Coetsier (Vocals and Guitar), Mr. Addi Haas (Piano/Accordion/Drums/Percussion), and Mr. Tilo Zschorn (Guitar). Inspired by Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and others, they have played music in churches, communities and prisons, empowering people and supporting all forms of creativity, art, and music at the margins of society. For their latest albums, they worked closely together with featuring artists Joanna Joans (Vocals) and Mario Fritsch (Saxophone; Piano).

Their first creation and Limited Edition, the 2019 Demo Album ***WALK THE LION*** are sketches of sounds ("musikalische skizze"), born from their personal encounters with prisoners and from life experiences.
The 2019 Summer Demo EP ***HEARTSET VIBES*** are songs expressing the human desire for love and the search for meaning behind and beyond prison walls.
The 2019 Demo EP ***MAUERFALL (Reaching out Forward)*** of Divine Concern marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The band hails the courage of the eastern Germans who fulfilled the nation's dream of unification and freedom.
The 2019 Single ***SING OF CHRISTMAS: MEDITATE ON EASTER*** of Divine Concern reminds us of the connection of faith between Christmas and Easter.
Divine Concern developed for their 2020 Single ***ZEIT- INSCAPE MELODY*** a self-described "divine pop" style that combines electronic music with biblical themes, pop melodies, poetic arrangements, and repetitive rhythms. The 2020-Quest for the Timeless in time!
***HEARTS OF STONES / SUMMER SOUND*** is the 2020 Demo Single of Divine Concern. It reflects the human Search for Hope and Meaning during the pandemic lockdowns, with that summer prison feeling and a Johnny Cash Sound.
***FLY YOUR EAGLE*** is the 2020 Demo Album of Divine Concern. It reflects personal stories of life, death, love and freedom, of sorrow and pain, humor and fun, showing how the divine presence can be found in the unlikeliest corners of the contemporary world.
***SEARCHING YOU / WER BIN ICH?*** is the 2021 Single of Divine Concern and contribution to the Project "Living Memorial." It remembers the imprisonment, life and death of the Dutch Jewish writer and Shoah victim Etty Hillesum ("Searching You") and of the German Theologian and prisoner in the military prison Tegel in Berlin, Dietrich Bonhoeffer ("Wer bin ich?").
In their 2021 EP ***WINGS of a NIGHT'S VISION***, Divine Concern seeks for a spiritual and hopeful sound in dark times. With haunting lyrics, soft tones, melancholy and sparingly orchestrated songs, the Album is complex and varied, dealing with a range of issues and topics - from imprisonment and death to love, sexuality, religion and freedom.
In their 2022 EP ***Bei Dir - GLOW IN THE DARK***, Divine Concern seeks for a faithful and hopeful sound of friendship, love and encouragement in troubled times. Lyrically (in English and German), the album deals with themes of Divine-human communication and relationship. With nuances and layers of sound, the recording took place in several German locations. Fabulously crafted music with expressive Saxophone and Accordion tunes, and atmospheric guitar riffs, the whole album almost takes on a meditative quality that illuminates the soul.
In their 2023 Album ***TWINKLING YOUR STARS***, Divine Concern glimpses something of life's mystery, tackling human and existential experiences with a warm and spiritual touch. Songs like “Hunting Spirit,” “Creator,” “Carried by You,” and “Twinkle” are living, breathing melodies, open to biblical interpretation. The album is vulnerable and honest — music for searching, wrestling and wounded hearts on the road. Doubting and mourning, searching and dreaming, wondering and praying under “Twinkling Stars,” Divine Concern shows that we are not alone in our pain, in our alienation but together in one human Quest for transcendence, for reconciliation, for resurrection, and indeed for ancient love…
